Google getting serious about Gphone?

 G Phone

There have been many Gphone rumors going around lately and some may be in fact true. The Wall Street Journal, known for telling the truth, is reporting that Google is in “advanced talks” with Verizon and Sprint and has made “significant progress” with T-Mobile, with an announcement of some kind coming within two weeks. The news sent Google stock past $700 today, although it’s still not clear if Google is only developing its own software or making an entire handset. Any way, it looks like Google’s getting ready to make a move sometime soon, and with all the rumors going around it is likely to be a big deal.

Keypad Credit Card will solve some problems

Keypad Credit Card

Identity theft has become a big problem these days. The easiest way for a thief to acquire your credit card information is online. Thankfully there are gadgets like the Keypad Credit Card that will make the card virtually useless without your code.

The Keypad Credit Card features a small number pad on the back of the card which you use to input your PIN number. It generates a one-time use passcode that you can use when processing online purchases.

There isn’t a lot of information on this gadget yet, so there are some questions left unanswered. Our biggest concern is how this will affect your everyday purchases at stores.

YouTube getting a makeover

Youtube Redesign

The YouTube team has been working on a redesign. It seems to be an “eye sore” though.

YouTube is asking for user feedback during the changes. That’s something that many websites overlook when making website changes. Over the next few months new features will appear, and will include improved categories, dropdown menus, and a new look and feel for tabs and video browsing pages.

The new red color is a bit annoying to us, but the site seem quicker to get around now.

A preview of what YouTube will roll out is available live here. What do you think of the makeover?
