Kodak’s Zi6 HD pocket video camera is available for pre-order. This HD camera will cost a modest $179.95 and is available in either pink or black, but unfortunately there is no clue on how soon it will ship.

The Kodak Zi6 comes with AA rechargeable batteries and recharger, AV and HD video cables (component), a wrist strap, a pouch and Arcsoft Media Impression, for editing HD video.

Here are some of the specifications; the Zi6 can record in wide screen 720p HD at 60 frames per second, it has a 2.4″ LCD screen, an integrated pop-out USB jack, direct-to-Youtube uploads and it can be expanded using SD and SDHC memory cards up to 32GB. The Zi6 has a small 128MB of internal memory, so an SD card is required if you plan to record HD video.

AgfaPhoto’s DV-5000Z SDHC camcorder is not as nice looking as Sony’s recently-unveiled HDR-TG1, but it still manages to be just as good. The camcorder measures at 4.7- x 2.75-inches (12- x 7-centimeters) and weighs about 7-ounces (200-grams), this HD camcorder features a 5-megapixel Micron CMOS sensor, 2.5-inch flip-out LCD, 3x optical zoom and an SD / SDHC slot. It also offers great shooting capabilities, displaying that it can capture clips at 1,280 x 720 (using H.264 compression) and record 16-bit stereo sound. The devices offers USB connectivity, a rechargeable Li-ion and video out. Unfortunately, this €249 ($393) device is never coming to the United States, but it’ll be available in Russia later this month.

The rumored K820 is actually the C902. Also the waterproof model, C702, is not waterproof, its Just splash and dust resistant. The C702 features a 3.2 megapixel one-handed camera great for action shots. GPS is also featured on the C702, Sony Ericsson has bundled Google Maps to see satellite imaging. The C902 features a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, face detection, a bright flash, and 160MB of storage. Both models will be available in the second quarter. The C702 will come in Speed Black and Cyan Blue, and the C902 will sport Swift Black and Luscious Red.

Today is a sad day for all the Polaroid fans. Polaroid has decided to kill production of Polaroid film. More bad news is the company is closing factories in Massachusetts, Mexico and the Netherlands, cutting 450 jobs. We all know that we didn’t use Polaroid film more than just for entertainment. We will miss watching photos ‘magically’ develop in front of our eyes. R.I.P. Polaroid.

JVC introduced the GR-D870 miniDV camcorder overseas in december and now they have made it official in the United States. The GR-D870 miniDV camcorder features 1/6-inch 680k pixel CCD, 35x optical zoom, 2.7-inch LCD monitor, DV in / out and 3D Noise Reducer. It also sports a SD / MMC card slot for shooting digital stills (up to 640 x 480). You can get the GR-D870 for $250.

Mustek is a company known for low-end digital cameras made especially for kids, or for everyday picture shooting. Their new DV300T model is not real sweet, but does seem to offer many features, its a “6-in-1″ camera. It is six “gadgets” packed in one, a digital camcorder, digital still camera, digital voice recorder, music player, card reader, and text reader. To us all of those are not special. Most digital cameras offer that and more. Mustek’s website does not tell us the price but we would say around $40.

The Nikon Coolpix S210 an every day use point-and-shoot camera which is fine for most users, looking to take pictures at party’s and on trips. It has fine features but relys on its looks to pull it off. The Nikon Coolpix S210 will be available in March for $179.95, and will come in plum, graphite black, cool blue, and brushed bronze colors.

Samsung’s GX-20 DSLR specs have been sought after for some time. First it was leaked on a Norwegian website and then got official in Korea and now Samsung has announced it in the UK and now we have some details.

The Samsung GX-20 DSLR is a 14.6-megapixel number, with a 2.7-inch live view LCD, RAW and JPEG modes, sensor-based image stabilization, and ISO settings up to 3200, with many other impressive specs. The DSLR is going to cost just about $1400. Two new lenses for the camera will be available at an additional cost.
