Everex’s gOS Cloudbook was supposed to be available at walmart today but due to needed software tweaks it will not be available for some time. According to the company’s director of marketing, Paul Kim, the system requires, “A couple of last minute software tweaks,” before it’s ready to hit stores. The exact date when it will be available is unknown, sometime in February. The $399 computer runs gOS, which is Linux, based on the popular Ubuntu distribution but with a unique user interface designed smaller screens like CloudBook’s 7-in. (diagonal) display.
