We just got news of Microsoft’s new logo for it’s retail stores, coming this fall.  This simple  looking Windows logo was just submitted for trademark filing. The filing is saying that it will be used to identify “retail store services and online retail services” for computers, media players, cell phones, video games, and more. You are sure to be seeing it everywhere in the near future.

We now have confirmation that the Zune HD will have an on-screen keyboard and browser. It is nice to see that microsoft is catching up to Apple.  Yahoo Tech snapped some pictures of the browser and, more interestingly, the on-screen keyboard. We have to admit that it definitely looks nice. Note to Microsoft, we would like a 3G chipset and dialer app.

Microsoft’s Wiimote-Style Controller for Xbox 360 Code Name ‘Newton’

According to sources at MTV Networks, Microsoft is currently designing a Wiimote-style controller for the Xbox 360 that will also receive signal from an LED sensor bar, but is better than the Wiimote because it offers a microphone on board for Xbox Live chat. Not only do they confirm that the project exists, but they can give up the codename for it: Newton. Most likely it will have a standard rechargeable battery pack, not sure about the colors that will be offered. Look for it later this year.

Microsoft Introduces Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 and 7000

Microsoft has just introduced two new mouses, the wireless laser mouse 6000 and the wireless laser mouse 7000. The more portable is the wireless laser mouse 6000, that is because the 7000 uses rechargeable batteries. Both mice include Microsoft’s HD Lasers and a couple Vista-friendly buttons. They will be available in March for $50 and $70.

Fujitsu Lifebook P8010

Fujitsu’s Lifebook P8010 is a beautiful ultra portable that looks to be just as nice as the Macbook Air. The processor may not be any good because it is called a SL7100 VL processor. We do not know the real speed. The Lifebook is under the FCC’s review and should be available soon.

We have seen many gadgets drop in price but never a drop from $1500 to $700 in a single day. They must want to sell them fast because they have a new version coming out soon. Most likely they just weren’t selling like predicted.
